Mother’s Day

Very fittingly this year, my mom and I went to see the Mother’s Day movie on the day of, of course. I had been looking forward to this for months, mainly because I knew it was chock-full of so many amazingly talented actors! I gotta say, seeing Julia Roberts again was so nice. She has always been one of my top favorites… something about that smile, I think.

This was only the beginning, the list is long… let’s see, Britt Robertson, Jennifer Aniston, Kate Hudson, Sarah Chalke, Shay Mitchell, Hector Elizondo, Jason Sudeikis, Jon Lovitz, and the unexpected short scene with Jennifer Garner was a lovely surprise! It was quite the overwhelming amount of talent and familiar faces, and I mean overwhelming in a very positive way.

A film showing the complexity of motherhood and family relations, Mother’s Day was a huge success in my books. I thought it was a great mix of funny and serious… I don’t think I have both laughed and cried so much in one movie before. I don’t know what it is that attracts me to certain actors, but for some reason, Julia Roberts, Britt Robertson, and Jennifer Garner always put a smile on my face. Also, I really have to say, I think Julia Roberts and Britt Robertson look so much alike! Not many people agree with me, but I really see something there..

Anyways! Was definitely a movie I really enjoyed seeing!!
