So, I think one of the main reasons I enjoyed this movie so much was that the main character was played by Logan Marshall-Green… a recurring guest star on The O.C. Playing the bad boy brother of Benjamin McKenzie, Marshall-Green did a great job in the TV series, and now he did an equally great job as the still vulnerable, suspicious ex-husband. His character, Will, is about to walk into a potentially terrible dinner party at the house he used to live in with his ex-wife. He will be eating with her and her odd new husband and all their mutual friends. To make this evening even more insane are two things: One, he is bringing his new girlfriend. Two, him and his ex-wife are still dealing with a tragedy that took place during their marriage.
Things are slowly revealed throughout the movie with flashbacks of their life together, and super tense conversations and suspicious behaviors. But, with this movie, I really think that giving away any more spoilers would be a bad idea, because it’s best enjoyed when you know nothing going in. But what I will say, is that you really need to go in with an open mind, because Gen and I almost stopped watching at the beginning, because well… it seemed weird. But honestly, I am so very glad that we kept watching, totally worth it, not just for the insane story-line, but also for the awesome acting.
