C’est Bon Cooking night

As a birthday gift from my family, Gen and I got to enjoy a Thai cooking class on Thursday night. Getting to be at the famous C’est Bon Cooking cooking school?? How cool would this be?! But then, when we first walked into the room, we were… well, mortified. Who knew we would actually be COOKING, and not just WATCHING?! We each had our own cooking station and everything. This was it, this was how we would meet our end. Death by Cooking Class… They Never Saw it Coming. I could just see the headline. So there we were, standing at our stations, panicking, there was no way this would end well. Thankfully our Chef Andrée Riffou was amazing… such a nice woman! Gen and her had fun speaking in French… we quickly became “those two at the front who have no experience whatsoever” which made me immediately feel more comfortable somehow. With a little help from her, and only one very small cut on my finger (note to self: do fingers are not meant to be shredded!), we ended up making our own meals successfully! Woot! Could not be more proud of us! So glad we faced our fears and learnt a lot! Thanks to Chef Andrée and of course my family who gave us the gift! 🙂
