Hope all of you had a wonderful Christmas / beginning of Hanukkah! Never knew the holidays could be this busy! Back in the day while I was growing up, it was just a great time to do absolutely nothing and be bored. Now? Not so much…. a few weeks full of fun and it’s not over yet! Don’t get me wrong though, I really do enjoy all of it. Super fun two days with the in-laws today and yesterday… many pictures to come. You can stay tuned for some cool pictures from Taffy Lane. Anyways! Theme of today’s post will be… Embarrassing Stories à la Zoey.
There are new ones, believe it or not! Also, both happened today! So I’m sitting there, enjoying an amazing meal with my in-laws, rejoicing in the Christmas-y atmosphere, and then it happened. First time ever doing Christmas cracker party favors, quite the exciting experience I must say. I’m pulling the thing apart, all proud and suave of course, then BAM! Cup of Pepsi… all over the table cloth! Very graceful of me, right? Having such understanding in-laws made the experience a whole lot easier, and I am clearly able to joke about it already. But, as if that wasn’t enough awkward for one day, I had another special moment this evening. Once we got home, Gen and I quickly realized that we were in dire need of some toiletries. Christmas Day and we needed to shop… uh oh. Thankfully, we found a 24hour pharmacy that could fulfill our needs. So, Uber to the rescue as always. After summoning my ride, I went outside and walked towards a car that was right there at the entrance of our building. Thank goodness, my chariot had arrived! But, as I was about to open the door to the vehicle, I noticed two people sitting in the front… weird, I thought… that never happens with an Uber. But of course I quickly realized that the license plate was not the one I had expected. Oops! I was literally a step away from making some new friends. Then of course, our very friendly neighbour just happened to walk by with her equally friendly puppy. When she asked how things were going and if I was waiting for an Uber, I thought quickly and said, “Yes I did, but of course THAT was the wrong car! That’s not awkward at all!” I’m quite quick on my feet, aren’t I? Thankfully we shared a good laugh, my actual Uber pulled up, and that was that.
