La La Land Light-Bulb Moment

Finally saw La La Land tonight, decided it was a must after hearing how they did at the Golden Globes. Plus, I really loved Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling together before. What I love about seeing movies is that everyone who sees it can come out with an entirely different opinion. The same movie can make one person happy, another sad, and make the third person angry. Not only are the emotions different, but so are the thoughts and revelations. For example, the main thing I got from this movie was not stopping at anything when following your dreams. The movie portrays an aspiring actress and an aspiring jazz musician. Basically, even though people don’t take them seriously and they have to put up with various awful jobs along the way, they keep on going. I was really happy to see how realistic they made all the struggles, they didn’t try to make it seem too easy. Anyways, the bottom line is that it really got me thinking. I’ve always looked up to artsy folks who have big dreams. Never ever did I see myself as anything like them, I mean I’m not that type, right? But you know, what if there is just a bit of artsy-ness in me? I really love to write. I HAVE always dreamed of becoming a published author one day. Writing is most definitely a hobby that I’m passionate about!

So, who’s to say I’m not an aspiring writer?

What is the actual definition of an ‘aspiring writer’?

What qualities would I have to have to fit in this category?

Then, if I am in this category even a little, what would that mean? What are the required characteristics?
