“Whatever happened to predictability? The milkman, the paperboy, evening TV…?”
Can ya guess what this post is going to be about?
I’ve always had a soft spot for Full House, ever since I was a kid and basically spent my days watching them on TV. Why did I like it so much? What about it made me so happy? Well, there’s probably a lot of reasons, but I won’t bore you with all of them right now. The thing is, I’ve started realizing more and more lately what a great show it was for kids, chalk-full of life lessons! It really hit me when I read this article about the 14 main life lessons that the show taught us. Now, here are just a few more that I would personally add to that list! Hope you enjoy!
The Zoey-valuated List of Full House Lessons
Baby crush – There was an episode where young Michelle falls for Becky’s nephew Howie. Lesson? Never underestimate anyone’s ability to love… even a toddler’s! This one always stood out for me, adults looking down on children’s feelings is no good (season 2, episode 16)
Priorities – Jesse realizes that his priorities have changed when an old friend wants him to risk his life doing a dare… what’s more important to him? Becky or being a daredevil? (season 3, episode 9)
Letting go – Danny tries to teach D.J. how to drive, but has trouble letting her take charge. Important lesson: let your kids grow up 🙂(season 5, episode 20)
Peer pressure – Remember that episode where Stephanie wants to get her ears pierced just because her friends Jennifer and Jennifer did? (season 6, episode 10)
Three musketeers? – Michelle has trouble “choosing” between her two best friends. I can relate… a group of three friends can sometimes be tricky, but it doesn’t have to be! (season 7, episode 21)
