A Bloggerrific Year

What a difference a year can make! Can you believe it’s been a year since I started blogging? Well, technically it will have been a year on the 19th, so 4 days from now. So, I thought I’d write a little update post. I mean why wouldn’t you want to hear about my personal life, it being all so riveting and all? Don’t worry, I won’t be getting into too many details or anything, just two little things that I’ve been pondering about.

Well, to start us off, I shall show you guys some of the lovely hamantaschen my mom and I made together the other day. Gotta love all these Jewish holidays, always such amazing food involved! Purim is most definitely one of the best. The hamantaschen we made last year were in one of my first ever blog posts! Cool right? This year, we did one with a chestnut filling (on the left) and then did a really fun experiment and put nutella in the ones on the right. Nutella added to anything is simply amazing, in my opinion!

Now, onto another thing that’s changed this past year. This one is a bit bigger than a few newly made hamantaschen. I’ve written about this already a couple times, yet it’s still slightly hard to bring up. In my post ‘Tube-Talk’ I wrote about how I’ve been needing to use to my g-tube more often these days. To make this easier, I decided to go ahead and order an IV pole, haven’t used one of these in probably a decade or so. So, here goes *takes a deep breath*… I now introduce you to my newest friend, Polly the Pole. I thought naming it would make it a little more exciting hehe. Soon will come some decorations as well! Sticker time, anyone? Embracing the change is my new motto! Putting it out there in the world must make it less scary right? 🙂

wow, one year already…time does fly!! Congrats on blogging for a full year!! I really admire your tenacity. I’ve blogged before in the past and I can appreciate the commitment it takes to keep at it and its not easy!! Those Jewish treats look delicious given they include hazelnuts and nutelka 🙂 As for Polly, whatever makes life easier is always a good thing!!

  2. […] Well, this condition is what they call ‘progressive’, meaning that it changes over time. Things never stay the same, but quite frankly, nothing else in life does either, right? One change that I’ve dealt with over the past few months, is my new friend Polly the Pole. You can read about her at this link 🙂 […]
