7 Ways to Deal With Anger!

Why hello there, folks, I’m back with another post

Hope you guys are not too distressed by all that white, cold stuff falling from the sky. Even though I wasn’t all that thrilled about it, it has been getting me into the holiday spirit. The Christmas tree is officially up and standing here at the Schvan apartment! I shall post pictures soon! All this fun started after Gen and I had spent the day yesterday dealing with Rogers over their Live Chat system. My goodness, those guys will do anything to get a little more money from ya, won’t they? Sorry, I won’t start a rant, I shall remain zen as always. One good thing that did come from the experience is this post… 7 ways to deal with anger! Still zen over here, guys, still zen.



7 Ways to Deal With Anger!

Breathing – You know the drill, breathe in, 1, 2, 3, breathe out, 1, 2, 3. I’m calming down just thinking about it. 

Laughing – This is definitely my go-to whenever I feel slightly miffed. Example: yesterday with Rogers, Gen and I could have some laughs about the responses we got from our Live Chat friend. Laughter really can be the best medicine sometimes. 

Communicating – IF at all possible, talking with whoever is making you angry could lead to something better and brighter. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t… let’s just say this can be a judgement call…

Distracting – Finding something to take your mind off the issue could maybe help. Whenever I felt like I would scream at that Rogers dude last night, I took out my trusty phone or had a little snack. It works with kids, and it works with Zoey 🙂

Chilling – I’ve been told this time and time again… if you’re angry, annoyed, what have you, please feel free to take a break. Step out, get fresh air, scream into a pillow,  meditate if that works for ya … all that good stuff. 

Solving – Ah, here’s the miracle one… finding a solution! Trying to come up with feasible outcomes, figuring out how to get there, etc.. You know, that one in a million time that all works out for the best. 

Asking – Are you feeling overwhelmed with anger? Do you know someone who is great at mediating? Hopefully someone neutral. Ask ’em for some help or advice! One of the perks I get from having a wife in the Conflict Resolution program, I guess? 🙂


These are just some little things I’ve tried, so please don’t take my amateur advice too too seriously 😉

    I find distraction most effective. When at work, I’d take a breather — take some walks, go to the bathroom, do some other tasks or EAT. At home, the best distraction is again to EAT and of course sleep 🙂 Good suggestions, Zoey. Thank you.
